IT Support Directory is operated by Lucid ICT Limited, a company registered in Scotland (company number SC760973), registered office Aves Business Centre, 11 Jamaica Street, Aves House, Greenock, Inverclyde, PA15 1XX ("we", "us"). Using the site or creating an account means you accept these terms.
An account is opened by signing in with an email address; there is no password. One account per email. You are responsible for keeping access to that email address secure, since a sign-in link is only as safe as your inbox. We can suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms.
When you post a review you grant us a licence to publish, edit for formatting, and retain it as described in our privacy policy, even after your account is deleted, with your identity replaced by "former member". You confirm that a review reflects your or your business's own genuine experience as a customer of the provider. You will not post on behalf of a provider, in exchange for anything of value, or about a provider you have not used. Full moderation and incentive rules are on how reviews work.
A listing is free and is created by us. Provider access requires a manual claim request and verification by IT Support Directory; an email domain alone does not grant access. See for providers for the process. We can revoke a claim, and we can edit, unpublish or remove a listing at any time. Once claimed, a provider account may edit its own description, contact details, services, facts, areas served and logo, and must keep them accurate. A provider account cannot edit, hide or remove a review, and cannot review any provider, including its own.
Featured placement is a paid subscription for one listing in one area, billed monthly or annually, that renews automatically until cancelled from the billing portal; a cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, with no pro-rata refund. A placement requires the listing to stay published and the claim to stay valid. If we remove a placement because these terms were broken, no refund is due; if we remove it for any other reason, the unused portion is refunded. Prices are on for providers. A placement never affects a review, a rating or the order of the ordinary (non-Featured) list.
A member or a provider can flag a review for breaking these terms. If you believe a review is defamatory, use the statutory process at how to complain about a review instead.
The site publishes descriptions written from public information and by providers, along with reviews submitted by members; we do not warrant that any of it is accurate, complete or current, and you should verify services, prices and terms directly with a provider before signing anything. We are not a party to any contract between you and a provider. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on anything published on it.
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the courts of Scotland have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
